A Note About Insurance Coverage for Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) in Tennessee:
Many insurance companies consider ABA to be "play therapy" and thus do not cover ABA. It is important to check your health insurance plan to know exactly what treatments and therapies are covered. Since ABA is prelimarily used for autism, it is not usually listed as a service recognized by most insurance companies. Read The Autism Equity Act to understand what the law mandates in Tennessee.
